Sameh El Dahan rides Sumac’s Zorro to the win in the CP International Grand Prix presented by Rolex at The Spruce Meadows Masters.

Following the very timely profile of Suma Stud breeders Marily Power and Susie Lanigan O'Keefe in our current issue of BN, it's a great source of pride and delight that we announce the glorious Spruce Meadows' win for Irish Sport Horse Suma's Zorro (Ard VDL Douglas). This very special mare carried Egypt's Sameh El Dahan to victory in the €2.1 million CP 'International' Grand Prix presented by ROLEX. As usual, Spruce Meadows' resident course designer Leopoldo Palacio produced the perfect Masters' finale with a two-horse jump-off in this prestigious Grand Prix – a head-to-head between El Dahan and Maikel van der Vleuten riding KWPN stallion Verdi TN (Quidam de Revel). The winner now carries his victory into the Swiss leg of the ROLEX Grand Slam Series at the Geneva Horse Show in December and the possibility of adding to his bonus purse. Our heartfelt congratulations to Suma's Zorro, her breeders, and Sameh El Dahan. (The full story of Suma Stud can be found in BN's September 2018 issue)
