At the age of 25, the Irish Sport Horse mare Liscalgot (Touchdown - Tulla’s Pride x Tula Rocket xx) has died at the home of her long-time rider in Ireland. Dermot Lennon celebrated numerous Grand Prix victories with the mare, but career highlights were being members of the gold-medal-winning team at the 2001 European championship, and individual gold at the World Championships in Jerez de la Frontera one year later. During her retirement from sport, Liscalgot produced 10 foals by embryo transfer, some of whom became international showjumpers: Calgot Pleasure (For Pleasure), Class of Touch Hero (Radco d’Houtveld), and Calgot Hero (Udancer Hero). Lennon said: “I’m really happy that she had a good retirement with us. Today I have three of her offspring, as well as a grandson at my place, so her story has not yet ended.”
