The Thoroughbred stallion Likoto xx (Fit to Fight xx x Lyphard’s Wish) has been put to sleep at the age of 26. The black Likoto was born in 1993 at Gestut Fährhof in Germany and was discovered by the late Werner Schockemöhle. Although the stallion's career began on the racetrack with four wins, earning €42,300 in prize money, he also won the four-year-old stallion class at the Thoroughbred Stallion Show in Cologne in 1997.
Likoto xx moved to the Celle State Stud in the North of Germany for the remainder of his life and was approved for Rhineland, Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Hanover and Sachsen-Thuringia.

Likoto xx sired eight licensed sons, while 51 of his daughters became state premium mares. His most famous offspring is the approved stallion Licotus who was trained and competed at national Grand Prix level, as well as small tour horses Lully (Larissa Pauluis, Bettina Nuscheler), national Dutch GP horse Look at Him (Debora Pijpers), and Dutch young-rider team gold medallist Legend (Rosalie Mol).
