KWPN stallion Tango deceased

The GLOCK Horse Performance Center in Oosterbeek has reported the sad loss of KWPN stallion Tango (Jazz - O.Bertje keur pref prest x Contango, bred by the late Huub van Helvoirt). Tango’s full brother Bonzanjo was shown up to Grand Prix by Diederik van Silfhout, while full sister Zhara-Obertje won the three-year-old Dutch in-hand title and was educated to intermediate level. For breeding purposes, Tango leaves two approved sons: Zardando (Tango x Gribaldi) and Zizi Top (Tango x Ferro). Rider Hans Peter Minderhoud paid tribute to the stallion dearly: “I will always think of how a horse can develop from a young, timid and anxious creature into a horse that’s even a little macho, like Tango was later on. I can only say ‘thank you’ for many wonderful years in my life. He has been there for me always, in all the episodes and changes in my life.” Claartje van Andel
