VDL's great Holsteiner stallion Indorado (Corrado I - Aida x Ahorn Z) has passed away at the age of 27. Descended from legendary stallions Cor de la Bryère (paternal grandson) and Almé (maternal great-grandson), the grey had a successful career showjumping career under the saddle of Dutchman Jur Vrieling, starting impressively by winning two qualifiers for the German Bundeschampionat as a young stallion and finishing 10th in the finals. Later, the pair had good CSI and Nations’ Cup results. However, it is his career as a distinguished breeding sire for which he will be best remembered, notably producing VDL Oranta (winner of multiple classes in both Europe and the United States) as well as Kilkenny Rindo, Nirado, Nice Surprise, Rindorado, Nikita, Nintendo… and dozens more. -studforlife.com
