Gotha FRH retires

Gotha FRH (Goldfever I - Pia x Prestige Pilot)

The chestnut Hanoverian mare Gotha FRH (Goldfever I - Pia x Prestige Pilot) is being given her well-earned retirement at the age of 15. Previously ridden by Ludger Beerbaum – who also rode her sire, Goldfever – she contributed to a team gold medal for Germany at the European Championships in Madrid, and runner-up in the Geneva World Cup Final. During her competition career, after Gotha’s reins passed from Beerbaum to Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, she won another European medal (bronze) in Herning, and in 2012 the pair won the World Cup qualifier in Mechelen followed by a Global Champions Tour victory in Estoril, Portugal, and the Longines Hong Kong Masters in 2014. - studforlife.com
