Fine Lady 5, a 13-year-old Hanoverian mare is the horse who will carry Lamaze in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games next month – hoping to repeat his individual gold medal from Beijing 2008 in Hong Kong. Lamaze and Fine Lady 5 finished ahead of current number one in the world rider ranking, Frenchman Simon Delestre with SF stallion Qlassic Bois Margot (L’Arc de Triomphe - Decibelle du Rouet x Galoubet A). According to Lamaze: “She is very ambitions and always gives 100 percent. She is naturally fast, too, and needs a certain ground speed so that she has enough confidence to jump the wide oxers. When you ride her like that she can jump everything.”
