Fine Lady 5 (Forsyth - Dorina x Drosselklang II) lived up to her name by carrying Canadian international showjumper Eric Lamaze to victory in the 2016 Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final at the CHI Geneva over the weekend. The 13-year-old Hanoverian mare finished ahead of KWPN stallion Taloubet Z (Galoubet A - Krista Polydor) in the hands of Germany’s Christian Ahlmann. Taloubet Z was bred by Cees T. Klaver, who also bred Rio 2016 individual Olympic gold medallist, Big Star. (A profile and interview with Cees Klaver was published in the September 2016 issue of BN and can be accessed online by subscribers.) A bloodline profile of the extraordinary Taloubet Z appears in our December 2016 issue, online now.

Home favourite and former winner of the Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva, Steve Guerdat finished third riding the 10-year-old Westfalian gelding Corbinian (Cornet Obolensky - Primavera x Pilot).
