British dressage team Olympian and European champion Emile Faurie has become the new trainer and sales manager at Ulli Kassel’s stable and training centre, Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, having resigned from his position as Finnish team coach. Faurie represented Great British at two Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games, six European championships and, thanks to his experience, is highly respected among riders and trainers alike. “I’m delighted with this new opportunity,” Faurie said. “I will divide my time between Great Britain and Germany, will be riding many horses at Hof Kasselmann, and will additionally overview the training of young horses up to FEI level.” Based at Heath Farm in Oxfordshire, Faurie has trained many talented British riders, including his student and assistant, Tom Goode, who recently made his Grand Prix debut in the saddle of KWPN stallion Dior (Gribaldi x Goodtimes). Faurie is no stranger to Hof Kasselmann and Performance Sales International, having spent the early days of his professional career in the eighties riding the young horses and preparing them for auction. “It was phenomenal for me to ride many different horses, and brilliant to acquire the knowledge to identify good young Futurity prospects.” Photo: Emile Faurie riding Weekend Fun (Stefan Lafrentz)
