The nine-year-old KWPN stallion Expression (Vivaldi - Melody keur pref sport-dres x Vincent, bred by Gert Willem van Norel from Wapenveld) in the capable hands of Diederik van Silfhout were the winning partnership of the Dutch winter dressage championships Grand Prix. In 2017 the pair won the Prix St Georges/Intermediate championships, amd now the Grand Prix-title is theirs. Competing in his first ever GP Freestyle, Expression was a picture of flair and elegance. According to a delighted Diederik van Silfhout, “He never stopped his powerful start and went even better towards the end. It’s incredible to feel how much he likes the work. His character is beyond belief”. Another dutch stallion Hexagon’s Double Dutch (Johnson - Ushimanda elite pref prest sport-dres x Rubiquil, bred by Laurens van Lieren from Schiedam) and Thamar Zweistra finished fifth in this same class, while the runner-up in the young riders’ class was reserved for black KWPN stallion Cupido (Daddy Cool - Promise elite prest sport-dres x Jazz, bred by Fried van Stiphout from Hegelsom) shown by Carlijn Huberts.
