Privately owned by Gestüt Sprehe, stallion Desperados FRH (De Niro - Wie Musik x Wolkenstein II) has won the highest award a Hanoverian stallion can win at the peak of his own career when he was declared ‘Hanoverian Stallion of the Year’. His breeder, Herbert Schütt accepted the coveted award during the Verband’s stallion licensing this past weekend. The 15-year-old Desperados won the team championship title and individual bronze medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and also leads the FEI dressage rankings with Kristina Bröring-Sprehe. His sire, De Niro, was 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Herbert Schütt was presented with an oil painting by artist Manfred Busemann as well as a valuable cheque.
