Cento, a horse of a life time, passed away.

The Holsteiner Cento (Capitol I - Viola XI x Caletto II, stamm 2137, bred by Heinrich Schoof) has passed away at the age of 29. The Chef d’Equipe of the German jumping team, Otto Becker, had some of his most successful results with Cento. The combination won the 2002 FEI World Cup Final in Leipzig and he was placed twice individually in the top 10 of the European championships of Arnhem in 2001 (team bronze) and of Donaueschingen in 2003 (team gold). They also finished team fourth for Germany, individually seventh at the FEI World Equestrian Games that same year in Jerez de la Frontera. Cella (Cento - Usha van ‘t Roosakker x Chin Chin, bred by Marc Kluskens) is one of his best-known offspring, jumping at 1m60 with Ben Maher.
