The combination of breeding and sport is close to the heart of the Hannoveraner Verband. On August 9/10 the Verden Foal and Broodmare Auction will be integrated into a major event, the 'Verden International'.
According to auction manager Jörg-Wilhelm Wegener, whose team has carefully selected an exquisite collection of 124 young hopefuls; "We are happy about the great response at the pre-selection dates. With the collection of foals for the Verden auction in August we can offer a high quality of young horses with both dressage and jumping pedigrees". A total of 38 foals with jumping pedigrees will be for sale on Friday evening, August 9: 24 colts and 14 fillies. Stallion Chacoon Blue has three offspring, plus two foals each by Chacfly PS, Conthargos, Diacontinus, Karajan, Ogano and Qualito. The number one stallion, Quite Coloured (Quickthago VDL x Atlantus van de Roshoeve), presents himself in a particularly interesting coat. The Rhineland foal was bred by Manuel Fehlhaber, and immediately attracted the attention of all spectators during the selection on the Verden triangle. Saturday, August 10 is all about dressage foals, with 86 youngsters presenting strong movements and interesting pedigrees. The 47 colts and 40 fillies are by 59 different sires, with the celebrated premium stallion of the 2017 Hanoverian licensing, Escamillo, represented by seven offspring from his first crop.
