Beezie Madden has acquired a talented young mare, Jiva van’t Broekend (Concorde - Energy van’t Broekend x Nonstop) from the Ludo Philippaerts stable in Dorperheide, Belgium. Bred by Jan Linssen, the eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood made her FEI debut in February 2016 with a win in a Table A 1m30 class at Vejer de la Frontera (ESP). She has progressed to 1m40 CSI2* level under the saddle of Antonia Andersson (SWE), enjoying a total of four wins from 28 starts, including young-horse and Under-25 outings. Co-owned by Ludo Phillipaerts and Marnicq Bervoets, Jiva will now move to the well-known John and Beezie Madden stables in Cazenovia, NY.

Jiva descends from an impressive jumping pedigree – a grand-daughter of the legendary ‘keur’ ‘preferent’ stallion Voltaire, via Concorde – who has proven to be a remarkable sire of 1m60 Grand Prix jumpers. Concorde was also the youngest stallion to be awarded ‘preferent’ thanks to his long list of national and international offspring. He was also awarded the KWPN ‘Horse of the Year’ title in 2004.
