185 two-year-olds to attend final stallion show at Saint-Lô

Following a series of eight Selle Français selections throughout France, a total of 124 three-year-old and 61 two-year-old colts will attend the final stallion show in Saint-Lô from October 19-23. All will be competing for breeding authority with the Studbook Selle Français. KWPN sire Kannan (1992: Voltaire - Cemeta x Nimmerdor), bred by M.G. Kramer vd Meer and belonging to Arnaud Evain’s Groupe France Elevage, is the most represented stallion in the three-year-old age group with a total of 11 candidates, followed by Air Jordan (Argentinus - Mandoline x Matador), eight candidates. In the two-year-old category, Holsteiner Canturo (1995: Cantus - Fara x Calando I), bred by Herbert Diederich, has a total of five stallion candidates, followed by the Didier Viaene-bred Vigo d’Arsouilles (1998: Nabab de Reve - Illico d’Arsouilles x Fleuri du Manoir) and the Oldenburg L’Arc de Triomphe (Landor S - Praeludium x Pilot), owned by Haras du Bois Margot, with three products. Following approval, the selected stallions will take part in final, confidential eight-day review with professionals who will provide additional details and opinion on their jumping abilities and behaviour.
